The tips and techniques in this book are worth their weight in gold. Some are simple; others are complex. After working my way through this jam-packed volume, I feel I can just about do anything I want in Photoshop. Janie News has the runs on the board having received high acclaim in local and international photographic competitions. She also shares some stunning examples of her creative images and tells us how she did it. This is not a book for beginners. But, intermediate level PS users and upwards should get plenty to digest out of this gem.PS A friend of mine reckons that, as a Photoshop beginner, he did get quite a lot out of this book. So perhaps I underestimated some people's capabilities. However, I do feel that users who have gotten past that first stage of bewilderment with PS will benefit more. Either way you can't go wrong. Ten bucks is not much for a book you surely will refer to over and over.

Try as I might, I have never been able to master Photoshop despite the fact that I must have bought at minimum 30 books on the topic. That is until now! "Art Of Your Mind" is the first book that I have been able to follow from front to back, and actually get stunning results from. The process is so simple, that you simply cannot fail, providing you follow the steps in front of you. To a degree, it's like "painting with numbers" only better, because if you make a mistake, you simply correct it and carry on. I am truly excited about this book as I now feel that I will be able to take my images to the next step and beyond. It is ideally suited to photographers of all levels, and if you're a beginner, you will be blown away with the results of your work............just as I was.
Get it today, and you will see the results within an hour..........
Do you want to create "altered reality" images but don't know where to start? Then buy this straightforward and well-written book. You will be surprised at how easy it is when you follow Janie News' helpful instructions.
More experienced Photoshop users can take Janie's creative ideas as a springboard to further their adventures in digital imaging.
Highly recommended.
The first half of this book seemed more like "Art of Using Photoshop Filters" rather than "Art of Your Mind", but in the middle Janie finally gets around to defining Creative Photography and then the book takes off from there. Janie gives enough techniques hints for you to produce photos like the ones she makes, but in the end there is no substitute for you spending hours with Photoshop on your own to try to produce similar images. There needs to be more texts like these so non-experts can learn how to create like the best of them.
As a side note, for people looking for similar texts, you might look up Trick Photography and Special Effects by "Photo Extremist".
